Arrival at Helsinki airport, transfer to city centre
Find the Finnair City Bus stop just outside arrival level at Terminal T2 or T1. Bus will take you to Elielinaukio Square at Helsinki Central Railway Station in approximately 35 minutes. Please check the bus schedule here. A short 10 minute walk to your first class downtown hotel. We will confirm the hotel after your booking. Your room will be ready after 15.00 but you can store your luggage at the front desk before that.
We suggest you take a refreshing walking tour in surrounding downtown area. You can explore the main shopping streets Esplanade with brand shops and Aleksanterinkatu Street as well as Mannerheimintie Street where you will find bigger malls like Kämp Galleria or Forum as well as the Stockmann department store.
Dinner at restaurant Zetor 19.00
A Finnish countryside styled restaurant Zetor is located in the heart of the city, on Kaivopiha Square. The restaurant is decorated with old time articles of the North and the 3-course set menu consists of traditional and beloved Finnish dishes made of salmon, reindeer, potatoes and wild berries. You can choose between 3 alternatives on each course and one drink (soft drink or Finnish beer) is included.
Day trip to Tallinn
Early wake up at the hotel. You can take the tram number 6T or 9 to the West Harbor, terminal T2 (for an extra charge). The tram ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Please check directions with your hotel reception during the previous day. You can reach the harbor also with a taxi in 15 minutes (for an extra charge). Please remember to take your passport with you! Both Finland and Estonia use Euros as currency.
Check-in at Helsinki West Harbor 06.30-07.00
Check-in at TallinkSilja desks at West harbor, terminal T2 (Länsiterminaali 2). You will receive boarding passes and meal coupons for both outbound and homebound voyage. Check in closes 30 minutes before the departure time.
Ferry Helsinki-Tallinn 07.30-09.30, buffet breakfast on board
The fast ferry Tallink Shuttle (m/s Superstar) leaves Helsinki, buffet breakfast on board. On Tallink fast ferries you have several tax free shops, cafeterias and bars at your disposal. Tallinn maps are available at the reception desk of the ferry.
Arrival to Tallinn, capital of Estonia
Free timo to explore the city. The old city originating from medieval time is just one kilometer walk away from the harbour. Walk to the Toompea Hill in the middle of the old town for great views and interesting Russian orthodox cathedral. Descend to the City Hall Square and wander through the narrow lanes and cobbled streets with handicraft shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. In the new part of Tallinn there are well stocked modern shopping malls, like the Viru center or Forum.
Check-in at Tallinn Passenger Harbor 15.30
Tallink Shuttle fast ferries use terminal D in Tallinn, boarding at the second floor. Use the return boarding card you received from the check-in desk in Helsinki Harbor in the morning. Boarding closes at 16.10 – no access to the ferry after this time.
Ferry Tallinn-Helsinki 16.30-18.30, buffet lunch on board
Late lunch including drinks on board is served from 16.00. After arriving to Helsinki, you can take a tram or taxi to the city centre (for an extra charge).

Helsinki Panorama sightseeing city tour 11.00-12.45
An audio guided (several languages including English, Chinese and Japanese) Helsinki Panorama Sightseeing city tour starts from Fabianinkatu street tourist bus stop in the middle of the Esplanade Park in downtown Helsinki. Please arrive to the tourist bus stop 15 minutes before the tour departure. During the approximately 1,5 hour city tour you will drive past the main sights of Helsinki and hear interesting stories behind them. There will be a short stop at the famous Temppeliaukio Church, graved in rock, and the Sibelius Monument before the tour ends at the Esplanade Park. The comfortable double decker tour bus is air conditioned and heated in winter and has a free wifi. Please note, that the entrance fee to Temppeliaukio church is not included (3 euros/ person, to be paid on the spot).
Coffee break at Cafe Esplanad
After sightseeing tour take a short break at the charming old Café Esplanad at Pohjois-Esplanadi 37. You will taste something very typically Finnish: a “Korvapuusti” cinnamon bun with a cup of coffee or tea. This might be the most traditional sweet bread in Finland and very beloved even today!
Departure to the airport
Departure from Elielinaukio Square by Finnair City Bus according to your flight schedule. We suggest you to arrive to the airport latest 1,5 hours before your flight. Please check the bus schedule in advance here to choose the optimal bus journey. The journey will take approximately 35 minutes. There is a good choice of shops and restaurants at the airport.
